Nairobi is East Africa's most dynamic capital and the continent's premier safari gateway — a fast-growing, cosmopolitan city of over 4 million people where the extraordinary Nairobi National Park sits literally on the city's southern border (lions and rhinos can be seen against a city skyline backdrop), where the giraffe centre is within city limits, and from where the Maasai Mara, Amboseli, and Kenya's most famous safari destinations are only a short flight or drive away.
